Beauty Onuoha- The Amazing Warriorpreneur!

Hello family, I know September has been full of events, both good and bad, but whatever may have come the way of you and yours, believe me, you will be fine.

Well, it’s unusual for me to publish a post by this time of the day; I can’t stop being grateful to Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) for declaring a one week warning strike. I sincerely appreciate our comrades for fighting our cause while giving me ample time to attend to personal affairs till the strike is called off next week. Nonetheless, our political leaders should never forget that Nigerians deserve the best. I hope the NLC wins.

Today on CIB, I have the honor of sharing the story of one of my secondary school class mates (still on my graduation anniversary post). I remember the first day I saw her in class. I admired how “arranged” she was and I immediately wrote to her telling her I would love to be her friend (I have been dramatic since forever, don’t give up yet please). We got on nicely and I am glad I took that bold step in being her friend.

She is Miss Beauty Onuoha (B.O), CEO, Switly’s Food Factory, Beauty By Switly and the Convener, Life To Sickle Cell.  Kindly read through and be inspired.

CIB: Tell us about yourself

B.O: Thank you for having me. My name is Beauty Onuoha, an enthusiastic and optimistic young lady who loves God and life. I studied English at the University of Ibadan. I run a food and drinks catering business called SWITLY’S FOOD FACTORY, and I’m also a makeup artist. Some other time, I’m a voice over artist (lol. Master of all).

Beautiful Beauty?

CIB: How has the Warriorpreneur Experience been for you?

B.O: It has been an interesting one. Interesting because I’d rather not use a negative word, and also because it has brought to light sides of me I never could have imagined were there.

Isn’t she a strong woman?

CIB: What inspired you to share your story to the world when you did?

B.O: I really just wanted to encourage fellow warriors, and most importantly, contribute in changing the perception of sickle cell warriors by a large majority.

Smiling through it all. Life To Sickle Cell

CIB: What are your challenges and highlights as a Warriorpreneur?

B.O: My greatest challenge as a warriorpreneur is strength. To be honest, I always want to do more, but my body won’t let me. People always tell me to slow down, in order not to break down (I just rhymed. Yay!)

Warriors deserve all the support!!!

Another challenge I face is health care. Sometimes the bills are CRAZY!
I’m sorry, but the government hospitals aren’t doing enough.

Olalah..Switly Yummy

My highlights, well.. that I’m able to run my businesses and still do some
charity is a major highlight for me. I’m grateful for family and friends
who love and care about me.

CIB: What keeps your faith?

B.O: The knowledge of God’s unchanging love for me, which I’m yet to unravel. I’ve only scratched the surface, and it’s amazing.

CIB: Hobbies?

B.O: Sleeping (laughs). That was a joke. I loooove cooking! I also love dancing, sight-seeing (is that even a word? Lol), singing, voice acting, board games.

CIB: What would be your greatest achievement and your advise to our generation?

B.O: Hmmm. Converting millions of souls to Christ. That is the most important thing to me.

My advise to our generation- Know God, love God. Understand your race, journey, personality, and own it. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Be around the right people, and maintain a healthy mindset. Love yourself.(too much! Laughs)

I bet you are already in love with Beauty. She is such a happy lady. The truth is she makes being a warrior look so easy because she is ever full of life. I wish this post reaches out to you in a special way. No matter what you are facing, keep seeing the bright side to it. Who knows, you may be the source of strength for the person next door. Never be overwhelmed by your problems; you will overcome. Remember, there is no excuse not to make it in life. Even in your weakness, there lies strength.

I hope you are inspired.

Till the next post, don’t forget to love yourself too much…

With love from,

Chidinma Ibemere.

P.S: CIB will be a year old in few days. Please, watch this space. (Tell a Friend to tell a Friend)
