I am excited that the new CIB year has started and today’s blogpost, being the first, is about a great lover of CIB. But before I write on, I would love to appreciate you in particular for sending love and light my way when CIB turned one last week. You make the journey worthwhile. Thank you so much for trusting my process. I am sincerely grateful.
Exactly a year ago on this space, I wrote a gratitude post to His Grace, The Most Rev. Prof. Daddy Hezekiah (MFR, JP), The Founder and Leader of Living Christ Mission Inc. and Proprietor/Chancellor Hezekiah University, Umudi, Nkwerre, Imo State, Nigeria (the first private university in the state), for being an amazing sponsor who saw me and is still seeing me through school (News Flash:I am currently rounding off my M.Sc. program at the University of Nigeria). When Westlife suggested in one of their tracks that a simple action of love could make one fly without wings, they were not joking nor lying. I am a living testimony. I literally flew without wings on the 25th of April, 2018. Here’s what happened.
I had the privilege to be selected as one of the 50 young Nigerians to serve as ONE Champions by the ONE Campaign. I left for Abuja for the induction summit and as soon as we landed, I sent Daddy Hezekiah a text telling him my journey was smooth. Immediately, he called and was so happy about my ONE story. It was then he declared that he would get me a brand new laptop through Engr. Emeka Onyia to support my blog. You know that moment of confusion- did I hear that well or was it a product of my imaginations? I was just saying “thank you Sir, God bless you Sir” repeatedly because I couldn’t think of anything else to say. This was timely since my old system had crashed and thesis was knocking at my door.
On Sunday, 6th of May, 2018, I became the ‘humbly proud’ owner of a brand new laptop. What more could I have asked for? My friend Kachi-Dinobi would tease that I have my life figured out but I know better my dear. I believe more that I am simply favored. When I don’t see the big picture, God uses the right people, happenings or things to remind me of what He has called me to be. Lines are ALWAYS falling in pleasant places for me and I am not ignorant of all my blessings and lessons because they make me who I am.
Dear Daddy Hezekiah, without mincing words, I am your number one fan just the way you are to me. I appreciate all you do for me. I remember when I told you I wanted to start a foundation, you prayed from your heart that night and asked God to bless my desires (today, I am the convener of a 21 months old outreach outfit called Chidinma Ibemere Outreach Program, CHOP). Even when you heard I visited the Old People’s Home for the 2018 Valentine celebration, you were amazed and asked how I got financial support. You do not waste time to tell people how happy you are with my blog and foundation. These little things you do make all the difference.
One thing that strikes me most about you is that you understand. Daddy, I am grateful for all you represent in my life. As you celebrate today, asking God to bless you is stating the obvious. You are already a blessing. From the depth of my heart, I pray that heaven supports you beyond human comprehension. May all created things be delighted to serve you. For making a small me feel the impact of the existence of a big God, you shall continue to grow from strength to strength. Peace, joy, happiness and most importantly the right people shall be your portion this day and always. I wish you a beautiful Thanksgiving Year my Dearest. Keep shining for the Lord.
For those who do not know, Daddy Hezekiah was called to the service of the Lord in 1967 and last year, there was a Glorious Celebration of His Golden Jubilee at the International Conference Centre Abuja on 15th October, 2017. I have compiled some pictures from the event for your viewing pleasure. I was one of the Premium Waiters (please, don’t bother google, I coined that myself) at the event. Please, feel free to smile.
At the event, he advised church leaders to be interested in soul winning and not incessant sowing of seeds which is a style of soul crushing. He believes that seeking the Kingdom of God first and His righteousness would attract the right riches.
The event was a huge success and gratefully every one reached their destinations in peace. Well, to mark this new year of His Grace, there would be a Thanksgiving Service at Onitsha, the Administrative Headquarters of Living Christ Mission Inc. You are cordially invited.
If there is anything I would love you to learn, it’s for you to be the reason someone else is happy. Genuinely support your friends and family, this is golden. I hope you find time to say a little prayer for Daddy Hezekiah. Your comments below are also welcome.
Till the next post, don’t forget you have the power to inspire.
With love from,
