Dear Friend,

I feel God strategically places some people/moments in our lives to make us colorful, to remind us that we matter and more importantly, we are worthy of being loved.

As humans, we are faced with so much struggles and sometimes, we end up being overwhelmed. It is common to doubt your process at such times but if you take time to reflect, you would find rays of hope carefully planted around you, to reassure you that all will be well.

The new year has been so hectic and believe me when I tell you I understand what it means to be fully exhausted. I remember on my way home one evening, I looked up the sky and said, “God, this wasn’t the plan; I am tired”. Whenever I get to the point where my heart is so full and my eyes are weak from crying, I intentionally say these words, “God, please, make me happy”. It works always!!!!

It may be a picture of nature that resonates with you or a random text message from an old friend; It could be a friend calling you to check on you or to share their special moments with you. What about the unrestricted laughter  from seeing the memes your friend sent you?

Hope may be delivered to you through the bus driver who chooses to call you a beautiful name just to have you board his vehicle or you having the time to eat your favorite food. Happiness may come in the form of a testimony shared by a stranger on Instagram and light fills your heart. It could be a Facebook memory from 6 years ago and instantly, you smile, relishing your journey so far. You may feel better by just knowing you have a wonderful family and amazing friends who truly warm your heart.

I believe there is always a message in the mess. Look within and around, I trust you would find the right spark of hope you deserve.

I need you to consciously preserve and embrace people or things that constantly brighten your life even in the midst of deep darkness. They are special!

I hope you also work on being the reason someone feels whole again. It takes one act of kindness to make the world a better place for all to live in. I thought of sharing this with you.

How do you feel now? Hope this piece helped.

Kindly share if this touched you!

With Love From,

Chidinma Ibemere💕
